Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. The night before we decided to take a ride on the Heber Creeper. It was a 30 minute outdoor train ride. They would tell stories of people dying and then we would ride by them moaning or crying out for us. The train got to a certain spot and then went back to the starting point. This is when all the people who had "died" jumped on the train to scare us. It was a little scary for Izzy (some of the people were jerks and felt the need to scare a 2 year old), but she loved the train ride. We even got an extra day of use out of her costume. On Halloween we took Izzy to the mall to collect all sorts of candy. At the end of the mall she looked in her basket and said, "Look mama, the candy is really big!" meaning there was a lot in there. We took her to my grandma's and mom and dad's house that night. My dad was passing out the big candy bars (he lives in Holladay for next halloween) and gave Izzy about 6 of them. The joys of being the only grandchild for the moment. I think she understood Halloween this year and the meaning behind it.
