The Festival of Colors

This is something I've been wanting to do since I saw my friend's post on this last year. We will be going back every year now because it was so much fun!

This is us before the throwing of colors. We were the first group to throw that day. We decided to take our colors (we had 12 bags) and throw them on ourselves. And we thought we were a mess for these pictures.

Here is a little brotherly in-law love

We had an hour before the throwing of the colors. Izzy and Elliot (and a couple of my sister's friends) would wait for people who were "clean" and sneak up by them and throw colors on them. It was actually a lot of fun and passed the time. Izzy thought it was hilarious. These next pictures are the actual throwing to welcome in spring.

This is us after the throwing.

This is my sister Kasey's mishap. Someone came by and threw a bunch of powder in her face and it got in her eye. Thankfully her friend came with eyedrops.

Elliot and Spud in the moment while singing Hare Krishna Hare Krishna (which was in every song they played). It was rather catchy!

It had snowed the night before which created a nice mud slide. Elliot and Izzy enjoyed sliding down it a few times. They were probably the only people to slide on it and stay on their feet.

After a couple of showerings and a few washings in the washing machine, everything came out. We did see a few people at church the next day with color in their hair that hadn't come out. We would highly recommend this to anyone for next year.
