In the last couple of months.....

It seems all Elliot and I do is work and then come home and veg with the kidlets. I am ready for Spring and more playing outside! Here are the happenings in the last couple of months that show we aren't complete couch potatoes!!!

This is the work of big sister. Apparently the Brinkerhoff brothers decided to each take a football team when they were little and then stick with that team for the rest of their lives. Too bad my husband stinks at picking! Being that Elliot and I both cheer for different teams, we felt we should pass the tradition on to our children. Izzy is now a Titans fan. We aren't sure what Deacon chose.....Detroit??

This is our traditional Sunday afternoon....one of the reasons I am ready for Spring. Living in a brand new neighborhood has its perks. Anytime a new house is being built, we tour it. It is kind of fun seeing other peoples tastes and budgets. There are always houses being built in our neighborhood, so the fun never ends. You can see in the pictures that we have an incredible view from our neighborhood...one of the reasons it would be hard to move from here. Also on our walks, we let Izzy take her bike. One of our neighborhood's downside is the big hills. Everytime, without fail, Elliot gets stuck pushing or carrying it home.

Izzy and Deacon finally got to meet their first Hansen cousin! Yea!! Isaac is this cute, little, skinny (total Hansen body type) full of personality, boy. His mom got lucky because he lasted in his newborn clothes for 6-8 weeks. Deacon lasted in his 0-3 month stuff for about 6 weeks (his one newborn outfit lasted about 10 days).

This was a March trip to the zoo. I think we make about 2 of these a year. I think the Utah Zoo is a little pathetic, but Izzy loves it so we continue to go. We got to see a baby elephant which was cute. We also went during mating season. This was the first time and hopefully only time I get to see the giraffes in action. Thankfully Izzy was too little to understand, but there were many kids asking their parents what was hanging on the giraffe and why was the giraffe jumping on the other one. Izzy told me they were brother and sister and they were teasing each other. I hope she believes that for awhile!

Here is Easter morning. We had Quinn, Teri, and Cas over during Easter weekend. They decorated eggs with us the night before. The Easter bunny hid cupcake eggs and baskets around the house for Izzy to find. She was pretty excited and was very cute in finding Deacon's basket and giving him his gifts!

OH my. I am still laughing at the pic of Izz with her helmet and knee pads on. What a hoot. Way cute picture of Isaac. He and Deacon have the same blue monkey outfit.

So I have to pick your brain about digital scrapbooking. It is time I start.
